- Summary: getting winrpi to work on rc224atf chipset
- Keywords: rpi, 2400, winrpi, rockwell
-
- hello,
-
- i have a 2400bps modem with a RC224ATF chip set. i recently visited the
- ROCKWELL web page and found a device driver for windows called WinRPI
- for RPI modems. the WinRPI FAQ listed the RC224ATF chipset to be an
- RPI modem which can use the WinRPI driver.
-
- i have tried to install WinRPI but it does not seem to work.
- in the installation notes of WinRPI, it mentions that the initialisation
- string, AT&C1&D2&K3+H3S95=1. my modem does not recognise the &K3, +H3
- and S95=1 command. my modem however recognises +H0 and +H1 only.
- i can also read the S95 register by issuing the ATS95? command, but i
- cannot set the S95 register to another value. a note to point out also
- is that WinRPI creates a wrpi.ini file which set certain AT commands to
- specific values. these commands i have noted does not seem to work with
- my modem.
-
- when i issue the ATI3 command, my modem returns, AFES-C2501-H0
-
- if there is anyone who can help me with getting WinRPI to work with my
- modem, i would be very grateful.
-
- thank you for your time,
-
- norman.
